Art is our only criteria. Our focus is on emerging and new contemporary work in all media. This includes but is not limited to painting, prints, photography, sculpture, installation, drawing, film, video, new media and conceptual art. We encourage the pursuit of interplanetary travel, murder mystery scenarios, karmic conversion, stunt professionals, inductive reasoning, golems, commercial junk, hot rock, stunningly beautiful women in tiny cocktail dresses, live comedy, swarthy men in fast cars, gadgetry, human decency, subcultural trends, game theory, America and the newest in phaser gun technologies. The goal of the Nova Art Fair, an international exposition of new art, is to broaden the exposure of emerging and contemporary art and artists by providing a cost-effective showcase for the best in new art from both established and emerging galleries, ateliers, storefronts, artist collectives and artist-run spaces.

In addition to visual art, The Nova Art Fair will also showcase the best in new and emerging work in the fields of music, fashion, design and the literary arts. These adjunct programs include Nova: Readings & Lectures, Nova: Sound, and Nova: Fashion, as well as wide-ranging "environmental" programs, performance and artist's projects presented in the form of random, site-specific A/V work, free walking tours, venue-specific installations and public sculpture.

The Nova Art Fair is organized by Bridge NFP, a Chicago-based 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation. Our mission, as a publishing and programming organization, is to stimulate and support the international art culture by serving as a center for its shared horizons. This includes, for example, the publication of Bridge Magazine, a bimonthly magazine of features, news and views, and the administration and provision of cost-effective access to space for new and emerging galleries, artists and arts professionals such as the Network of Visual Art studios at 840 Washington and our shared gallery/arts administrative facilities at 119 North Peoria. We view the Nova Art Fair, a haven where new stars may shine through, as a natural innovation on this mission.
